‘Helping People and Transforming Communities’ – Ms. Shobha Pradhan Shrestha sharing her experience

January 18, 2015 marks the 50th anniversary of Nepal-Canada diplomatic relations. Nepal-Canada Friendship and Cultural Association organized the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal & Canada (1965-2015). Therefore, celebrating the 50th anniversary, the association launched a publication ‘Golden Jubilee Souvenir’ with various articles in it. The book was launched by honourable Mr. Deepak Obhrai, Member of Parliament, Calgary, Canada and honourable Mr. Mahendra Bahadur Pandey, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Nepal.

The association had requested Ms. Shobha Pradhan Shrestha, Executive Chair of WPD – Nepal, to write her experiences working with World Accord, Canada and WPD Nepal. In her article “Helping People and Transforming Communities” she shares her journey with World Accord, Canada and Women for Peace and Democracy Nepal while serving the women and marginalised of Nepal. The article can be found on page 54 to 55.
